The Red Raiders are coming off a 69-66 win over Florida in Dallas, Texas on Saturday. It’s the team’s first trip to the Sweet Sixteen since 2005. Chris Beard, in his second season as Texas Tech’s coach, now has his team just one win away from a trip to the Elite Eight.
Purdue is the No. 2 seed in the East, with Texas Tech at No. 3. The Boilermakers, however, will be without standout center Isaac Haas, who suffered an elbow fracture in round one of the NCAA Tournament.
The Texas Tech-Purdue game will be played on Friday, March 23 at TD Garden. Tip-off time is to-be-announced.
