After missing the Big Dance last season, Chris Beard has the Texas Tech Red Raiders back in the NCAA Tournament.
To reach this point for the 17th time in school history, Texas Tech notched a 24-9 record that included six ranked wins.
Although that was all necessary to put Texas Tech in its current position as a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament, what happens on Thursday evening outweighs everything the Red Raiders have done to this point in the season.
But for Beard and his team, what better way to ensure success than by doing exactly what Texas Tech has been doing for months as part of one of the most successful regular seasons in school history?
What better way to advance than making the plays the Red Raiders have all season, as highlighted in this thrilling pre-tournament hype video.

Texas Tech will open the NCAA Tournament against 14-seeded Stephen F. Austin. The Lumberjacks have enjoyed their fair share of success this season, as well, climbing to a 28-6 record after winning 10 of their last 11 games.
If the Red Raiders get their way, that effort will drop to 10 wins in the last 12 games by Thursday night.
Texas Tech and Stephen F. Austin will square off at 7:27 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on TruTV.
