KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee will host its biggest non-conference game of the season Sunday, when No. 2 Texas comes to town.
The No. 11-ranked Lady Vols have been rolling this season, though, and they seem up to the task.
Coach Holly Warlick has infused a lot of young talent into a roster that has veteran stability. The Lady Vols start two freshmen in Evina Westbrook and Rennia Davis in the backcourt. The frontcourt features senior Jaime Nared and redshirt senior Mercedes Russell.
Tennessee has scored more than 100 points in four of its nine games this season. Texas will present the stoutest defense to date, but the Lady Vols have shown they can light up the scoreboard with a balanced attack.
