Vols coach Rick Barnes has told those around the program he didn’t think his team handled it very well on Sunday, when Tennessee lost in the SEC Tournament championship   game to Kentucky.

“You can say it might be the state, I mean, they were in a position they hadn’t been in ever, playing for a tournament conference championship,” Barnes said Wednesday at American Airlines Center. “We weren’t very good defensively. We weren’t very good at all to start the game.”

The Vols will look for a much better start in their game today against Wright State in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament South Regional.
