Tennessee basketball vs. North Carolina: Time, TV channel, how to watch online (December 17, 2017)

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee hosts No. 7 North Carolina on Sunday in what will be possibly the biggest game of the season.

The Vols rank No. 20 in the nation. This is the first ranked home game in Thompson-Boiling Arena since 2010 in the Bruce Pearl era.

The Vols last played on Dec. 9 against Lipscomb. The break gave the team plenty of time to focus on improving themselves.

Coach Rick Barnes said the team has to get better from where it is right now.

Barnes demands a lot from forward Grant Williams. He is the only member of the Vols who can consistently perform like a first-team All-SEC player.

He will be tested Sunday by North Carolina’s front line. The most interesting matchup will Williams vs. Luke Maye. Maye has averaged 19.9 points and 10.5 rebounds per game this season.

Williams has averaged 13.5 points per game and 6.9 rebounds.
