TCU expects to have 17 official visitors on campus this weekend in a final push before the early signing period next week, according to a source within the program.
Six non-TCU commits are expected to take official visits this weekend, headlined by two teammates from Metairie (La.) Archbishop Rummel: uncommitted 4-star receiver Ja’Marr Chase and 3-star Georgia safety/linebacker commit Aaron Brule.
Brule announced Wednesday that he wouldn’t sign his letter of intent during the early signing period. That announcement came after TCU defensive coordinator/safeties coach Chad Glasgow visited him on Tuesday.
I️ will be postponing my signing until February 7. I’ve got some things I️ need to look into …..

Chase was close to committing to TCU over the summer, but later picked Florida. He has since re-opened his recruitment and is one of the Frogs’ top remaining targets.
Other official visitors this weekend are uncommitted 4-star running back Jashaun Corbin and uncommitted 3-star safety Derek Turner. The Frogs are also hosting 3-star Houston linebacker commit Donavan Mutin and 4-star Texas defensive tackle commit Keondre Coburn.
The Frogs landed 4-star running back Fabian Franklin on Sunday, but would love to get Corbin’s commitment as well given their depth at the position going forward. The Frogs only have one commit each at running back, linebacker and defensive tackle, so Corbin, Mutin and Coburn would all be valuable additions if TCU lands any of them.
Of TCU’s 20 commits, 11 are making their official visits to campus this weekend. That group is led by the Frogs’ top recruit, 4-star quarterback Justin Rogers.
The early signing period begins Wednesday, Dec. 20 and ends Friday, Dec. 22. Like many schools, TCU is expecting most of its commits to sign during that period.
