TCU men’s basketball jumps back up to No. 8 seed in ESPN’s latest bracketology

TCU men’s basketball is back on the rise in ESPN’s NCAA Tournament bracketology after defeating Texas at home on Saturday.

College basketball analyst Joe Lunardi had the Horned Frogs up to a No. 8 seed in the West on Monday, projected to face Seton Hall at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Mich.

TCU had fallen to a No. 10 seed in the bracketology before rebounding with a 87-71 victory over the Longhorns. The triumph marked the first time this season that the Horned Frogs won a Saturday-contest against a Big 12 opponent.

The Horned Frogs, in their second season under coach Jamie Dixon, are looking to make their first March Madness appearance since 1998. TCU was defeated in the the first round of the NCAA Tournament at the hands of Florida State that year.

TCU returns to action with crucial road game Monday night vs. No. 20 West Virginia. The Horned Frogs are looking to sweep the regular-season series against the Mountaineers after going 0-11 vs. West Virginia prior to this season.
