TCU is coming off a walloping of Kansas, even worse than Kansas normally gets walloped. The Horned Frogs and the Jayhawks had a running clock in the 4th quarter due to weather, and Kansas didn’t get into positive yardage until the 4th quarter. The Horned Frogs looked every bit of a top team.
Unfortunately, Iowa State isn’t looking half bad either. They’ve had an incredible run over the past three games. They upset Oklahoma on the road, shut out a bad Kansas team, and beat the tar out of a solid Texas Tech team.
Iowa State is going to prove to be a challenge for TCU. They have tall, athletic wide receivers, an accurate quarterback in Kyle Kempt, and of course, Joel Lanning at linebacker. This isn’t the Cyclones of old, the Horned Frogs cannot expect to sleepwalk through this game.
