TCU is cruising through its schedule in convincing fashion and climbing the power rankings along the way.
More specifically, the Horned Frogs — currently ranked No. 4 in the AP poll — have taken one small but significant step towards the top spot in ESPN’s updated Power Rankings, climbing to No. 3 behind only Alabama and Penn State.

After yet another dominant display, in which TCU kept Kansas off the scoreboard and limited the Jayhawks to just 21 total yards of offense, the Horned Frogs improved to 7-0 on the season and sit atop the Big 12 standings at 4-0 in league play.
Although the final five-game stretch should prove challenging, the Horned Frogs have built a praiseworthy resume to this point, boasting wins over then-No. 6 Oklahoma State and No. 23 West Virginia, as well as Arkansas on the road. Not surprisingly, such a resume is reflected in the rankings, with a TCU team that began the season outside of the polls slowly but surely inching its way towards the No. 1 spot.
For now, though, the Horned Frogs will have to settle for No. 3 in ESPN’s latest Power Rankings, which keeps TCU firmly in the College Football Playoff picture.
Next up, TCU will put its perfect record on the line on the road against a rising Iowa State team that’s ripped off three straight wins since dropping its Big 12 opener to Texas, including a massive upset victory over then-No. 3 Oklahoma.
