Syracuse quarterback Eric Dungey showed a lot of heart in his team’s loss against Miami on Saturday. While he struggled to even complete a pass, Dungey didn’t give up and dropped kick defenders on his way to keeping the Orange in the game.
But after the game was effectively finished, Dungey had experienced enough and his frustration boiled over to the point where he started jawing with a Hurricanes assistant. Then he also had words for linebacker Shaquille Quarterman and defensive tackle Anthony Moten.

After the game, though, Miami defensive coordinator Manny Diaz found Dungey to talk to him on the field to ensure there were no hard feelings before heading into the locker room.

After a highly entertaining game and the trash talk that ensued afterwards, it’s kind of disappointing these two programs won’t play again for a long time. With the current ACC scheduling format, teams in opposite divisions only play once every six years, so if that pattern continues, Syracuse and Miami won’t play again until 2023.
