Chicago Simeon (Ill.) small forward Talen Horton-Tucker is one of the nation’s premier wing prospects and on Sunday night, he cut his list of potential destinations to just three finalists — Iowa State, Xavier and Illinois.

Horton-Tucker holds 20 total offers, including invitations from Kansas, Missouri, Michigan State, Florida State, Ohio State and Georgetown, among others.

A 4-star talent, Horton-Tucker officially visited Ames, Ia., recently on Oct. 13 for Hilton Madness, joining current Iowa State commits George Conditt, Zion Griffin and Tyrese Haliburton.

“Just clarity, seeing how I fit here,” Horton-Tucker told 247Sports of what he hoped to take away from the visit. “It’s nice. Being around guys who are committed here is nice. I like them all and just getting along because it’s like three Illinois guys. It’s nice, because just coming to school with somebody I know would be good. Gelling with everybody is nice.”

The Cyclones have just one remaining 2018 scholarship to date, and Horton-Tucker appears to be a prime candidate to fill that role. He’s currently projected to do so with the Cyclones owning 57 percent of his Crystal Ball projections, and if Iowa State can ultimately land him, Horton-Tucker would serve as the new headliner of Steve Prohm’s 2018 class.

Horton-Tucker has officially visited Xavier and Illinois, as well.

The 6-foot-5, 210-pound wing is ranked as the nation’s No. 109 player, No. 28 small forward and the No. 4 player in Illinois, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.
