4-star SF prospect Feron Hunt decommits from TCU

Four-star small-forward prospect Feron Hunt retracted his verbal commitment to play basketball at TCU, Hunt announced on Friday.

Hunt, a native of nearby DeSoto, Texas, verbally committed to TCU on Sept. 3 before making his official visit to Fort Worth on Sept. 15. But the 2018 prospect, who is rated the No. 12 player from Texas in his class — per the 247Sports composite rankings, has now re-opened his recruitment.

If it’s any consolation for Jamie Dixon and the Horned Frogs, Hunt wrote that TCU would remain in his list of top schools.

TCU is the only Big 12 school that has made an offer to Hunt during his recruitment, per 247Sports. Other noteworthy schools that made offers to Hunt include Wichita State, Arkansas and Houston.

Now, once again, it is uncertain which uniform Hunt will put on when 2018 rolls around.
