Thursday was a good day for Michigan’s men’s basketball team.
The No. 3 Wolverines won their first-round matchup in the NCAA Tournament over No. 14 Montana and will face No. 6 Houston in the second-round on Saturday. But, on Friday, it was all about Michigan football.
The Wolverines’ Class of 2019 received a major boost Friday night when Cade McNamara — a 4-star QB according to 247Sports — committed to the maize and blue.

McNamara now gives the Wolverines six different commits for 2019. The 6-foot-1 pro-style QB from Reno, Nev. is one of four different 4-star rated recruits. Chris Hinton, a 5-star rated DE, leads the group of future Wolverines.
McNamara is also the first QB to verbally commit to Michigan for 2019. He was committed to Notre Dame at one time, but de-committed on March 2.
