3-star DT Allen Love de-commits from Ole Miss

Ole Miss’ 2018 recruiting class took a hit on Monday night.

3-star defensive tackle Allen Love announced on Twitter that he is de-committing from the Rebels. He had been committed to them since June 8.

Love thanked Ole Miss fans for their support, but said he needed to “make a decision that’s best for me.”

Love recently took visits to Louisville and Indiana, so those are two potential destinations for him.

Listed at 6-foot-3 and 285 pounds, Love is the No. 54 defensive tackle recruit in the 2018 class, according to the 247sports composite rankings. He played for Huffman High School in Birmingham, Ala.

Ole Miss de-commits don’t come as much of a surprise, as the Rebels have a long list of sanctions from the NCAA, which includes a bowl ban for the next two years.
