Stanford forward Reid Travis has been named the Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. It is the first time Travis, a junior, has been awarded the conference honor.
Travis averaged 26.5 points and 10.0 rebounds while shooting 60 percent from the field as the Cardinal beat both Washington schools.
Against Washington on Thursday, Travis scored 23 first half points and ended the game with 33 points as Stanford took down Washing 94-78 in Palo Alto. Against Washington State, Travis had 20 points and 11 rebounds in an 86-84 win over Washington State.
On the year, Travis is averaging 19.3 points and 7.9 rebounds per game, all while shooting nearly 53 percent from the field.
Stanford is 16-13 on the season and 10-6 in Pac-12 play. The Cardinal will travel to Arizona this week to take on No. 19 Arizona on Thursday and Arizona State on Saturday.
