South Carolina football pro day no longer open to public

The South Carolina football team’s pro day will no longer be open to the public with the field portion now set to take place at the indoor practice facility.

Twelve former Gamecocks are expected to participate on Tuesday: offensive lineman Cory Helms, tight end Hayden Hurst, defensive lineman Ulric Jones, cornerback JaMarcus King, offensive lineman Alan Knott, defensive back Chris Lammons, linebacker Skai Moore, offensive lineman D.J. Park, defensive lineman Dante Sawyer, defensive back Demetrius Smalls, defensive back D.J. Smith and defensive tackle Taylor Stallworth.

The event is set to begin in the Gamecocks weight room at 8 a.m., where players’ height and weight will be measured, in addition to testing in the broad and vertical jump. They will also performer the bench press.

Testing will continue at the indoor facility around 9:45 a.m. with the 40-yard dash, short shuttle, 3-cone and long shuttle. Individual position workouts will then be conducted on the field.
