Signee 101: Get to know 4-star Notre Dame DT Jayson Ademilola

4-star defensive tackle Jayson Ademilola was one of the first commits in Notre Dame’s 2018 class, pledging his services to the Irish in June 2016.

Now it’s official as Ademilola signed his letter of intent on Wednesday.

The No. 14 defensive tackle in the country, Ademilola is certainly a big-time catch himself, but the Irish are bringing in not only Jayson but his twin brother, Justin, a 3-star defensive end. The two could cause havoc side-by-side on the Irish defensive line for years to come. Here is everything you need to know about Jayson Ademilola.

How Jayson Ademilola fits at Notre Dame

Notre Dame’s depth chart is crowded at defensive line at the moment, but there certainly appear to be opportunities for Ademilola to find playing time early in his career. This year, true freshman Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa saw significant time due to injuries suffered by several players at the position. With Daniel Cage and Elijah Taylor both expected to return next year after both missed this whole season, it may be a year or so down the line that Ademilola finds a consistent role, but he certainly has the talent to be a difference-maker on the Irish defensive line.
