Signee 101: Get to know 4-star Alabama Jack LB Jordan Davis

Jordan Davis committed to Alabama last December. Davis is the Crimson Tide’s longest-tenured commitment. He didn’t take an official visit to any other program and never wavered on his commitment.

Here’s all you need to know about Davis:

4-star defensive end Jordan Davis

247Sports composite ranking: No. 5 defensive end (projects as a Jack linebacker, though), No. 2 prospect in Tennessee and No. 89 overall

Hometown: Memphis, Tenn.

School: Southwind

Height: 6-foot-5

Weight: 238 pounds

Offers: 16, including Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, Ohio State, Mississippi State, South Carolina and Texas A&M

Commitment: Dec. 10, 2016

Early enrollee: Yes

Where he fits at Alabama: Jordan Davis wasn’t a well-known prospect when he committed to Alabama last year. He was a 3-star recruit with a few Power 5 offers. Since committing to the Tide, Davis has blossomed into a defensive force on the field. He was named an Under Armour All-American and made more than 20 sacks in his senior season. Davis is being recruited as a Jack linebacker, which is a hybrid of weakside defensive end and outside linebacker; however, it’s very possible Davis puts on more weight and becomes a traditional defensive end.
