TCU now knows who its 1st Round NCAA Tournament opponent will be on Friday night.
After a First Four matchup that came down to the final seconds, Syracuse outlasted Arizona State, 60-56, and thus, advances to take on the 6-seeded Horned Frogs on Friday.
With its latest win, Syracuse improves to 21-13 on the season after winning three of its previous four games, with the lone loss coming against North Carolina in the ACC Tournament.
TCU, on the other hand, struggled a bit to close the season. After ripping off a four-game winning streak, the Horned Frogs dropped their regular-season finale against Texas Tech, and then fell to Kansas State days later in the Big 12 Tournament.
But now, for a Syracuse team that had to fight just to reach the field, and a TCU squad that hasn’t won a game since Feb. 27, the next loss signifies the end of the season.
TCU and Syracuse will square off at 9:40 p.m. ET on Friday. The game will be televised on CBS.
