College GameDay analyst David Pollack praised Nebraska’s hire of Scott Frost on Saturday. One week after the Huskers hired their former quarterback to lead the program, Pollack called it “the best coaching hire to date” of the year.

Nebraska’s hire of Frost, who led Central Florida to a 12-0 season and American Athletic Conference title in 2017, has been well-received in Lincoln and beyond.

The 42-year-old Frost said earlier in the week that he thinks the time is right for a “renaissance” of the Cornhuskers program.

“When I was at Nebraska, there wasn’t a classier organization in the country, there wasn’t a more successful organization in the country,” Frost said in a radio interview with Jim Rome. “I have no reason to believe we can’t get it running that way again.”
