Sam Darnold tops NFL Network’s Mike Mayock’s quarterback draft board.
Mayock listed Darnold as his top quarterback in the 2018 NFL Draft. Darnold is above Wyoming’s Josh Allen and UCLA’s Josh Rosen at the quarterback position.
The 6-foot-4 220 pound quarterback passed for 4,143 yards, 26 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in 2017. His career numbers with the Trojans include 7,229 passing yards, 57 touchdowns and 22 interceptions in two seasons.
Mayock has USC running back Ronald Jones II as the third best player available at the position. Jones rushed for 1,550 and 19 touchdowns in his junior year. He’s behind Penn State running back Saquon Barkley and LSU running back Derrius Guice at the position.
On the defensive end, USC linebacker Uchenna Nwosu is rated as the fifth best player at the position, per Mayock.
