Robert Griffin III had a comeback for the ages when a sulky Cleveland Browns fan commented on his Instagram account.
Griffin shared some pictures of a trip to the fair with his fiancée, Estonian heptathlete Grete Šadeiko, and their daughter on Instagram. A fan using the username @brown_nation_ commented and said he was “sick” of Griffin and didn’t know why he or she was still following the former Browns quarterback.
And then Griffin gave an absolutely devastating response.

For context, the Browns went 0-16 in 2017. They haven’t won a game since beating the then-San Diego Chargers 20-17 on Dec. 24, 2016. Their starting quarterback in that game? Griffin, who went 17-of-25 passing for 164 yards.
It’s been so long since that win that the Chargers have since played an entire season in another city, and Griffin hasn’t been on an NFL roster in almost a year.
This isn’t the first time Griffin has gotten into a spat with someone on social media. He went on a long Twitter rant against former Washington teammate Santana Moss last fall after Moss accused Griffin of trying to get their former coach, Mike Shanahan, fired.
Griffin won the Heisman at Baylor in 2011 and was later the No. 2 overall pick by Washington in the 2012 NFL Draft. He has said he still wants to play in the league, and has brought up the possibility of playing for the Texans and mentoring former first-round pick Deshaun Watson.
