Report: Texas A&M DT Zaycoven Henderson arrested on aggravated assault charges

According to a report from KBTX-TV in College Station, Texas, Texas A&M defensive tackle Zaycoven Henderson has been arrested on three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence and possession of Marijuana.

Per the report, police had been called about two men pointing a firearm at people and threatening to kill them at around 2:30 AM on Sunday morning. Per the Dallas Morning News, Henderson tried throwing the gun out of the car after the reported incident had occurred.

Henderson was a senior on this year’s Texas A&M team. Henderson finished the regular season with 50 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.

The Aggies will face Wake Forest in the Belk Bowl on Dec. 29. Texas A&M went 7-5 this season and fired Kevin Sumlin at the end of the year. Sumlin was replace by Jimbo Fisher.
