Texas is back! On the Texas A&M basketball schedule, that is.
According to a report from Logan Lee of TexAgs, the Aggies and Longhorns are renewing their basketball rivalry for a great cause.
The game, which is expected to be officially announced in the coming days following clearance form the NCAA is scheduled to be played next Wednesday, Oct. 25 from Rice University in Houston.
All proceeds from the game will go toward victims of Hurricane Harvey, which decimated the city of Houston.
Texas A&M and Texas have not played regularly since the Aggies bounced to the SEC from the Big 12 in 2012. The two programs did meet in 2015 in the Bahamas at the early season Battle 4 Atlantis tournament, a Texas A&M win.
Tipoff will be at 7:00 pm at Tudor Fieldhouse on Rice’s campus. No TV information has been released as of early Friday afternoon.
