Report: Stanford expected to promote Tavita Pritchard to Offensive Coordinator

Tavita-Pritchard-Stanford-Offensive-Coordinator

The Stanford Cardinal are expected to name Tavita Pritchard as their new offensive coordinator, according to a report by Sports Illustrated’s Bruce Feldman.

Pritchard currently serves as the recruiting coordinator and QB coach for the Cardinal. He is also a former QB at Stanford, having played for the Cardinal from 2006-2009. Pritchard appeared in 31 career games and made 20 starts, throwing for 2,865 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Pritchard made his first career start against USC on Oct. 6, 2007, and engineered an epic 24-23 upset of the second-ranked Trojans in the Los Angeles Coliseum when the Cardinal was a 41-point underdog.

Former offensive coordinator Mike Bloomgren took the head coaching job at Rice last week.

Stanford will play TCU in the Alamo Bowl on Dec. 28 at 6 p.m. PT on ESPN.
