According to Phil Kornblut of SportsTalkSC, South Carolina will host Rice graduate transfer safety J.T. Ibe for an official visit in March.
Late last week, Ibe told SEC Country that he’d recently been in touch with South Carolina coach Will Muschamp and defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson.
Originally from Mansfield (Tex.) High School, Ibe was a 26-game starter at Rice, where he had 121 tackles and 11 pass breakups over three seasons.
Colorado, Kansas, Texas Tech and Ole Miss have also been in contact.
