Report: Jimbo Fisher hires former FSU assistant to Texas A&M staff

Not only did Jimbo Fisher leave Florida State for Texas A&M but apparently he’s bringing one of his assistants with him.

According to a report from Billy Liucci of TexAggs, former FSU running backs coach Jay Graham is joining Fisher in College Station.

Graham spent the last four seasons as an assistant at Florida State. In the last three seasons, Graham has served as the running backs coach and special teams coordinator.

Graham is a former All-SEC and NFL running back. The North Carolina native was the MVP of Tennessee’s 1996 Citrus Bowl victory.

Fisher resigned as FSU’s coach after eight seasons on Dec. 1, the day before the team’s regular-season finale vs. Louisiana-Monroe.

Fisher accepted a 10-year, $75 million contract to replace Kevin Sumlin at Texas A&M. Former Oregon coach Willie Taggart was hired as the new coach at FSU.
