Jimbo Fisher has made one of the first critical hires of his tenure at Texas A&M.
According to a report from Zach Barnett of Football Scoop, Texas A&M is expected to announce Darrell Dickey as its offensive coordinator within 24 hours.
Dickey has been at Memphis for the last six seasons, helping to lead one of the most explosive and high-scoring offenses in the nation. In 2017, the Tigers ranked fourth in the country in total offense and yards per play and second in scoring at 47.7 points per game.
Dickey will actually make a return to College Station, where he was a graduate assistant in 1985. He will bring a lot of experience within the state of Texas as well, having been the head coach at North Texas from 1998-2006.
