Report: Jacob Park to transfer from Iowa State

Iowa State quarterback Jacob Park will transfer schools, according to a report from Tommy Birch of the Des Moines Register.

Park, a senior, had taken a leave of absence from the team on October 7. In November, he thanked Cyclones fans for being understanding while he went through some personal issues.

But according to Birch, Park said that sentiment from Iowa State fans went away.

“Everybody says these fans are so loyal, right?” Park said according to Birch’s report. “Like, they were the first ones to turn on me. I got to witness this from a whole other perspective that most of you never get to witness.”

In his stead, quarterback Kyle Kempt came in and won four games in a row, including games over Oklahoma and TCU.
