Report: Former Tennessee WR Jauan Jennings has desire to meet with coach Jeremy Pruitt

A new head coach and new athletic director at Tennessee has possibly opened the door for former Vols receiver Jauan Jennings to return to the program not long after his exit.

Jennings, who was booted from the team by then-interim head coach Brady Hoke and then-interim athletic director John Currie after a social media outburst less than a month ago, had already expressed that he wanted to be a Vol again.

Now the wheels may be in motion for that to happen, according to Trey Wallace of The Read Optional.

Not long after his dismissal from the program, Jennings posted this apology on Instagram and vowed to do whatever it took to return to Knoxville.

“I want to first acknowledge the fact that I was wrong to do this and apologize to my family, my team, the administration and all of Vol Nation for my actions,” Jennings said. “I’m a Vol for life, and I bleed orange and white. I plan to work hard with our new athletic director and whoever our new coach and do whatever to be placed back on the team.”
