Former LSU general manager Austin Thomas is not coming to Tennessee, Sports Illustrated’s Bruce Feldman reported Sunday.
Feldman’s report comes after Doug Mathews, a Tennessee radio host and former Vols assistant under Phillip Fulmer, reported earlier in the day that Thomas would not be part of the Tennessee’s staff.
Feldman reported that the “title and responsibility standpoint didn’t work out” for Thomas. However, Feldman reported that the process was “very amicable and that it was just not the right fit and timing.”
Former #LSU GM Austin Thomas will not be going to #Tennessee after all, per source. Title and responsibility standpoint didn't work out for him w/ the #Vols but am told it was very amicable and that it was just not the right fit and timing.
