There’s reportedly some sad news to relay about former Florida running back Wendell “Mon” Williams.
On Monday, Texas running backs coach Stan Drayton relayed word that Williams had passed away. Williams had 14 carries for 103 yards during the 2006 and 2008 seasons with the Gators. He sustained a torn ACL in spring practice in 2007. He transferred to Eastern Illinois and had 870 yards during the 2009 campaign.
R.I.P. Mon Williams. Prayers to his family.

“Bgator” of GatorStop.com reported that Williams passed away early Monday from heart failure.
Also on Monday, former Florida running back Emmanuel Moody posted a tribute to Williams on Instagram. Moody wrote that he was “heart broken hearing this news” and that Williams was “a man who lived with strong conviction.”
Thoughts are with everyone close to Williams.
