The Cleveland Browns don’t seem incredibly interested in Baker Mayfield after the NFL combine.
Head coach Hue Jackson and general manager John Dorsey are both expected to miss Mayfield’s pro day at Oklahoma on Wednesday, according to the Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot. They won’t be at UCLA’s pro day to see quarterback Josh Rosen either.
Jackson and Dorsey aren’t at Oklahoma’s pro day because they are reportedly focusing on the start of NFL free agency. Browns Vice President of Player Personel Alonzo Highsmith is reportedly in Norman to watch Mayfield.
Cleveland has been a popular projection for Mayfield in mock drafts, but it seems the Browns may be looking to go in another direction. They traded away the quarterback they drafted last year, DeShone Kizer, and brought in Tyrod Taylor from the Bills.
The Browns possess the No. 1 and No. 4 overall picks in the upcoming draft.
