Baylor coach Matt Rhule has reportedly added Frank Okam to his staff, according to SicEm365.com’s Colt Barber.
Okam, a former freshman All-American and two-time All-Big 12 defensive tackle from Texas, will replace Elijah Robinson as the Bears’ defensive line coach after Robinson departed for Texas A&M earlier this offseason.
The Pine Bluff, Ark., native, who helped Texas win the BCS National Championship in 2005, played in the NFL from 2008 to 2013 with the exception of 2012. Since his playing career ended, Okam has gone into coaching and has spent the last two seasons as Rice’s defensive line coach.
The hire puts Baylor at its capacity of 10 coaches on staff.
