Report: Arkansas QB Austin Allen not expected to play vs. Alabama

Arkansas-Austin Allen-quarterback-injury

Arkansas expects to be without quarterback Austin Allen on Saturday against Alabama, according to a report from Pig Trail Nation.

Allen was removed from a loss at South Carolina last week with a right shoulder injury. Tests on the shoulder this week revealed no structural damage, according to Allen and coach Bret Bielema. The senior hasn’t missed a game since taking over as the starter last season.

Redshirt freshman Cole Kelley would be expected to start if Allen does not play. Kelley has completed 11 of 18 pass attempts this season. He’s thrown for 186 yards with 3 touchdowns and an interception. He also has 9 carries for 42 yards.
