Ramon Richards did more than snag the game-winning interception against the Texas Longhorns on Saturday.
According to Pro Football Focus, he graded out highest among the Big 12’s defensive backs last weekend.

Richards graded at 90.6, just barely higher than his teammate A.J. Green and his opponents, DeShon Elliott and Kris Boyd.
According to ESPN, Richards notched five solo tackles and one assisted tackle for six tackles total. Of course, that’s in addition to his walk-off interception.
Richards is thriving after he switched positions from cornerback to safety in the spring. On the season he has 32 tackles, five passes defended, and the lone interception, but his presence and coverage has been a positive for the Cowboys. He’s fit in Oklahoma State’s defense much better as a guy who can roam around the field as opposed to locked in on one receiver, as he so often was as a cornerback.
