Santa Margarita quarterback Josiah Norwood is headed to UCLA.
Norwood committed to the Bruins on Wednesday. He announced his decision on social media. The quarterback is joining UCLA as a preferred walk-on.

Norwood is a 5-foot-10, 170 pound dual-threat quarterback.
“It’s a great opportunity with a coach who believes in me and will give me a fair chance to prove myself,” Norwood said, per Dan Albano of The Orange County Register. “I believe I can be a quarterback at the highest level and will work at it in every aspect. If I don’t bet on myself, no one will.”
Norwood chose UCLA over Army, Marist, Stetson and San Diego. He passed for 2,231 yards and 19 touchdowns and also rushed for 697 yards and 9 touchdowns.
The Bruins ended National Signing Day with on a top 20 2018 recruiting class.
