Purdue basketball drops to No. 6 in latest AP Poll Top 25

It was a tough week for Purdue. The Boilermakers dropped a pair of games to Ohio State and Michigan State, the two other best teams in the Big Ten.

After 19 straight losses, Purdue enters the week with two consecutive losses. Matt Painter’s club saw the effect in the latest Associated Press Top 25, which was released Monday afternoon.

Purdue fell three spots from No. 3 to No. 6 in the new poll. Here is the full top 25:

This marks the first time since the Jan. 15 poll that the Boilermakers are not in the top three. They held the No. 3 spot for four straight weeks, and it was the program’s highest ranking since the 2009-2010 season.

Purdue (23-4, 12-2 Big Ten) is back in action at Wisconsin on Thursday night.
