A medical redshirt?

Football coach Kirk Ferentz isn’t ruling out a possible medical redshirt for running back James Butler, according to Mark Emmert of the Des Moines Register. Butler injured his elbow against North Texas in September. An upcoming X-ray will indicate if Butler can return soon or will miss additional time.

Family ties

Former Iowa tight ends and first cousins George Kittle and Henry Krieger-Coble exchanged jerseys after the San Francisco 49ers-Indianapolis Colts game last Sunday. The game and jersey swap is something these two will probably remember the rest of their lives.

Bring on the Panthers
