Pinapple on pizza debate settled on Paul Finebaum Show, compared to Auburn-Alabama rivalry

If there is a more heated debate in America right now than the ongoing one between Auburn and Alabama fans, then it is between people who put pineapple on pizza and those who find it strange and disgusting.

The two collided on Wednesday on The Paul Finebaum Show, as Joe Carlucci, a 4-time World Pizza Champion and a pioneer in the industry, used an interesting metaphor when describing the entire pineapple debate.

“Putting pineapple on pizza is like asking an Alabama fan to wear an Auburn jersey all day,” Carlucci said. “Some things you just don’t do and putting pineapple on pizza is one of them”

There, anti-pineapple people. You now have a well-known professional in the pizza business on your side.

No word on how either Gus Malzahn or Nick Saban feels about pineapple, but hopefully it will be brought up at a press conference extremely soon.
