We have a special teams Twitter beef following Penn State’s 42-13 rout over Michigan. And that’s the plane truth.

Penn State punter Blake Gillikin subtweeted Michigan kicker Quinn Nordin following the Nittany Lions’ 29-point win Saturday night. Gillikin did so with three simple airplane emojis.

For background, Nordin was a one-time Penn State commit and made his initial pledge in a video where he exited a small plane in Penn State gear.

Nordin eventually switched his commitment to Michigan after Jim Harbaugh famously slept over at his house. Penn State fans did not seem to forget this on Saturday.

On Nordin’s first attempt at Beaver Stadium he was booed as he took the field and then missed an extra point in the second quarter. The redshirt freshman did make his second extra point attempt but did not try any field goals in the loss.

Gillikin, meanwhile, delivered when called upon. He hit his two punts for an average of 49.5 yards and saved his best performance for social media.
