Penn State only needed one half to register the best game any team has had against Michigan in 2017. The Nittany Lions only lead 21-13 at halftime, but that’s already better than any team has done against the Wolverines this season.
Penn State’s 303 yards is also the most any team’s gained against Michigan this season. Indiana couldn’t even get that with an overtime. Meanwhile, Michigan has only put up 141 yards. A normal total for the Wolverines so far this season, but not enough against Penn State.

If any team was built to do this to Michigan, though, it’s Penn State.
The Nittany Lions have been carving up opponents this season, scoring 52 points in Week 1, then 33, 56, 21, 45 and 31.
Still, this is a great start against one of the best defenses in football. Michigan has yet to face another team with an offense that even comes close to what Penn State’s done this year, but the Wolverines have still been impressive week in and week out. Even in their one loss, they only gave up 252 yards of total offense and 14 points to Michigan State.
Now comes the fun part for Penn State: Doing this to Michigan again.
