Jim Harbaugh is 0-3 against Ohio State as Michigan’s coach. That fact is not lost on ESPN’s Paul Finebaum.
Appearing on ESPN’s first take on Tuesday, Finebaum decided to pour some gasoline on the fire that is Ohio State-Michigan. The No. 17 Wolverines are coming off a 14-10 loss to Michigan in Week 6, while No. 9 Ohio State just handed a 62-14 loss to Maryland.
Finebaum already has his prediction for when Michigan and Ohio State meet at the Big House on Nov. 25:
“I don’t think he’s going to beat Ohio State, Urban Meyer owns this guy,” Finebaum said, via Wolverine247. “So if he loses this year, he has to go back to Columbus next year. He’s catching heat now, but wait until the rest of the season.”
Whether it’s justified or not that Harbaugh’s team lost to Michigan State at home, Finebaum’s already been firing off at Harbaugh in this young week. He noted that Harbaugh has the same record through 31 games as his predecessor, Brady Hoke.

“Nobody wins the offseason, nobody’s the champion of April more than Jim Harbaugh with the IMG Academy and going to see the Pope,” Finebaum said. “Good for him. That’s great. You can win the offseason, but you have to win during the season and he has not. He has choked away opportunity after opportunity.
“You don’t lose to Michigan State at home.”
Harbaugh knows his team’s record against Ohio State and Michigan State since he got to Ann Arbor, and addressed that on Monday.
“The record against other opponents is 23-3,” Harbaugh said. “We know what the records are. We want to win those games. We want to win every game we play, we want to win them all. And most importantly, we want to win this one, our next game.”
