Pac-12 will move Women’s Basketball Tournament to Las Vegas starting in 2019


Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott announced on Thursday that the Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament will be moving to Las Vegas, starting next season.

The Women’s tournament, which was held at Key Arena in Seattle this season, will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in 2019 and at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in 2020. The women have played the last six tournaments in Seattle.

Scott says the 2019 Pac-12 women's basketball tournament will be held at MGM Grand Arena and it will be at Mandalay Bay in 2020.

The Pac-12 moved the Men’s tournament to Las Vegas starting in 2013 and it has been wildly successful in Las Vegas. The men played at the MGM Grand Garden Arena for four years before heading over to the new T-Mobile Arena in 2017.
