Oregon State’s Tres Tinkle named Pac-12 Player of the Week

Oregon State Beavers forward Tres Tinkle was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week on Monday

The sophomore averaged 24.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 6.5 assists last week, including a near triple double against Washington. In the Beavers’ incredible double-overtime win over the Huskies, Tinkle put up 29 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists. Against Washington State on Thursday, Tinkle helped the Beavers to a 94-62 victory. In that game Tinkle had 20 points, five rebounds and three steals.

The 6-foot-8 Tinkle has scored in double figures in all 24 games this season, which is tops among Pac-12 players. He also ranks No. 6 in scoring (18.5 poings per game) and No. 10 in rebounding (7.0 per game) in the Pac-12.

The Beavers (13-11, 5-7) head to Los Angeles this week to take on UCLA and USC. They will face the Bruins at 8 p.m. PT on Thursday.
