Oregon opens as 1.5-point home underdog against Utah in Week 9

Week 8 is blessedly over for the Oregon Ducks, which mean it’s time to look forward, which Vegas has already done, for the Week 9 odds are out. With both Oregon and Utah coming off of rough losses — Oregon a 31-14 loss at UCLA, Utah a 30-10 upset to Arizona State — Vegas has set the line as a near pick ’em, with Oregon opening as a 1.5-point home underdog.

Utah is 5-1-1 against the spread this year, while Oregon is 3-5. Neither team covered in Week 8, with Utah losing straight up to the Sun Devils and the Ducks failing to cover despite getting 6.5 points against UCLA.

Oregon has won six of the last eight meetings against the Utes, though the Ducks are 4-4 against the spread in those games.
