Oregon lands commitment from JUCO cornerback Haki Woods

Mario Cristobal was pounding the pavement on the recruiting trail plenty while working under Willie Taggart. Now, he’s secured his first commitment as Oregon’s head coach.

The Ducks landed junior college cornerback Haki Woods (Pima C.C.) when he officially gave his verbal commitment on Monday night. Woods, a 3-star talent from Tucson, Ariz., announced the decision via a video posted to Twitter.

The 6-foot-3, 192-pound Woods also had offers from 3 other Pac-12 schools: Arizona, Utah and California. He becomes the 4th defensive back to commit to Oregon’s 2018 class. According to a ScoopDuck.com report, Woods will enroll at Oregon in January.
