Oregon’s Kelly Graves named semifinalist for Naismith Women’s College Coach of the Year

Kelly Graves is a candidate for coach of the year.

Graves was named one of 10 semifinalist for Naismith Women’s College Coach of the Year, the school announced. The Oregon women’s basketball coach has led the Ducks to their highest ranking in school history.

Graves is in his fourth season as Oregon’s coach. The Ducks (24-4) currently rank No. 8 in the nation.

The 10 semifinalists are Karen Aston (Texas), Geno Auriemma (UConn), Kelly Graves (Oregon), Muffet McGraw (Notre Dame), Kim Mulkey (Baylor), Robin Pingeton (Missouri), Vic Schaefer (Mississippi State), Joni Taylor (Georgia), Jeff Walz (Louisville) and Amy Williams (Nebraska).

The Naismith Women’s College Coach of the Year will be announced on March 31.
