FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Auburn football will welcome back two players to active participation Saturday, but another one will not play against Arkansas.
Senior safety Tray Matthews is not dressed out for the Arkansas game with a hamstring injury he suffered in the first half against LSU last weekend. Sophomore left guard Mike Horton and senior linebacker Tre’ Williams have returned after missing the LSU game.
Auburn announced Marquel Harrell as the starting left guard before the game. Horton was warming up with the second-team offensive line. Williams was listed as a starting linebacker with Darrell Williams and Deshaun Davis.
According to Charles Goldberg, Auburn defensive coordinator Kevin Steele told the in-house radio team that the Tigers’ defense might be heavily impacted by injury tonight:
Auburn's Kevin Steele says six or seven 'key players' on defense may not be ready because of injuries. Safety Tray Mathews not dressed out.
