Oklahoma road sign reads ‘down with Horns’ ahead of OU-Texas

Whoever runs the highway LED screens in Oklahoma wants two things: safe roads and to beat Texas.

The Sooners head to Dallas on Saturday, Oct. 14, to face the Longhorns in the annual Red River Showdown. Plenty of Oklahoma fans wills be traveling south to the game, and this road sign pretty much sums up Sooner fans about as well as you can.

Oklahoma-Texas is serious business (as is driving safely).

Traffic won’t be fun come Friday afternoon as everyone gets off school and work to get down to Dallas, but at least one person is having fun with their job in preparation for one of the biggest rivalry games in college football. The hate, as you can tell, runs deep.

The Sooners won last year’s Red River Showdown 45-40 over the Longhorns. Baker Mayfield and Co. will try to do the same again when Oklahoma and Texas face off at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
